The 2017-18 NewsKnights Team

Created on 11 December 2017
Written by Lynn Sakr

NewsKnights is JM’s Secondary Media and Information Literacy (MIL) club and online news project.  It is an opportunity for our students to develop media and information literacy skills as well as independent and responsible investigative skills

Picture1NewsKnights promotes ethics, chivalry, involvement, and responsibility in media handling and news making and disseminating. Our motto, “Be informed. Be involved”, is self-explanatory in that sense and reflects our effort to promote active awareness of local and global issues, along with community involvement and civic engagement.

We aim to publish regular online news features and updates in the course of the school year. Our rubrics reflect the interest of our team and include the following sections: A column, Humanely Speaking; News; Science & Sports; Art & Culture; Incredible Lebanon; The Month in Photos; Pick of the Month; #Good News; Your Voice Counts; and Media Minds, the Intermediate Division’s MIL club’s work.

Our team: Tina, Thea, Sabine, Perla, Paola, Mayssa, Lea, Lama, Ghyd, Dana, Antranik

Editor in Chief: Perla
